Crop Monitoring

One of the advantages of drone phenotyping is the ability to monitor crops regularly, in order to extract reliable quantitative data 📈

For example, this timelapse shows the growth of rapeseed monitored over 10 flights between October 28 (3-4 leaf stage) and March 26 (beginning of flowering). Plots of 20 m² are virtually divided, and the leaf area is measured as a percentage of the area of each plot

Here, in southwestern France , we can see the almost continuous growth of vegetation during the winter of 2024/2025. The loss of vegetation in February, following a period of frost ❄️, is quickly compensated for

Other parameters (vegetation volume, visible and multispectral vegetation indices) can of course be measured from the same flights.
